Our Coffee Origin
Mogiana region is located in the Northeastern of the São Paulo state along the border of the state of Minas Gerais. This region produces the highest quality Brazilian coffee thanks to a favorable climate: higher elevations, with an altitude of 800-1,300 meters above sea level, rich red volcanic soils and with an average temperature of 19.5 C ( 67’F) that is to say fantastic weather conditions. This region has rolling hills and uneven terrain lending to farms that are small to medium in size.
As the world’s largest coffee producer, Brazilian lots often come from larger estates that use highly mechanized processing strategies to manage larger volumes. Our current offering is Fine Cup (FC) and Strictly Soft (SS), the highest cup category in the Brazilian coffee grading. After harvesting thru the months of May and September, these coffee berries have a natural processing which means that they stay in patios or raised beds drying in the sun generally for 3 to 6 weeks.
Once this method is done, the beans have a fruity flavor that was absorbed by the cherries while remaining for a long time in the drying stage. These beans are produced under the best agricultural practices with full traceability and certified 100% Arabic coffee. The Mogiana coffee is one of the best in the world with its full body, very rich in flavor: chocolate, nutty, sweetness, mild acidity and intense aroma that has been greatly appreciated.
